I went farther by stopping LMS and deleting the .db files. Things appear to be working normally, though with over 100,000 tracks it won't finish for a while.
How much memory do you have? If you're new to 7.9 it might be worth going to Settings/Advanced/Performance and up the Database Memory Config.
