1. Some plugins (i.e C3PO) will not appear under 8.0 after clean install although it is compatible with 8.0. It will carry forward fine if upgrading from 7.9.x
Many plugins have a maxVersion set to 7.*. The authors need to update the definition.
What makes you believe they were compatible, but not installed?
2. Tidal will play only mp3. No flac. 7.9.3 plays flac, too.
I doubt this is related to LMS8. TIDAL has been suffering from other issues for months. If you didn't give it a try in the last 24h, then please do so. Those issues should be resolved now.
3. When entering mysqueezebox.com credentials from the tray after fresh install, LMS accepts user name and password but there is an error message, too.
Make sure you're running the latest nightly. If you're on Windows you might need to go to Settings/Advanced/Security to allow "Insecure HTTPS". This would fall back to the mode LMS 7.9 was using. LMS 8 by default uses stricter rules, certificate validation etc.
