Sarathbabu refused an offer of Rs. 800,000/= salary, to start his own catering services. Today, he employs 200 people and has a turnover of Rs. 200,000,000/=.(20 Crores) “I struggled selling idly’s in the Chennai slums where I lived. I saw my mother go to sleep without dinner almost every night. I had decided to become someone big and help many slum dwellers be Sarathbabu’s.” Sarathbabu spoke at ICGF, organized by Rotary Cubbon Park, Dist. 3190, where he was called to express and motivate over 1000 audience. Going to school and working to balance requirements had made him hard working. He did not even know that there was a course called Engineering. He learnt the power of asking/questioning & finding out details and working towards soul oriented goals. He concentrated on competing with himself, doing his best rather than getting caught into the discussion about brands/mobiles etc., which he found frivilous. BE from BITS Pilani and with a cushy job at hand, it was difficult to leave and go in for an MBA. However, sleeping on the ground to get up early, had taught him the long term power of going through pain. He had developed enough courage, challenging all those odds he faced in his life successfully. Sarathbabu choose to respond positively in life. He had a dream with a plan. He believed in his choice of life and acted with full throttle. He is a man to be reckoned with. His catering service FoodKing is already in 6 cities. He wants to operate pan India and employ 50,000 needy and committed youth. May Sarathbabu’s tribe increase. Sarathbabu focused on only what he could do rather than what he could not. He challenged himself and kept fine tuning for performing better. With this big goal in sight, Sarathbabu is taking calculated risks and is confident about making his dreams real.
