For reference: (Nudity warning) Blenrig - http://www.jpbouza.com.ar/ESP2/descargas/blenrig-3/id/en I also don't see the harm in having multiple ways to skin a cat. Different people have different workflows, and though the results may be similar, some may be very familiar with the soft body system but not with the cloth system. I do understand trying to cut down on bloat, but I do know that when software evolves and totally slaughters my workflow it does not leave me a happy camper.
Anyway, Just my 2 cents. -Sean > From: mfoxd...@gmail.com > To: bf-committers@blender.org > Date: Wed, 3 Mar 2010 17:52:31 +1100 > Subject: Re: [Bf-committers] I'd like to kill the soft body module > > Please Don't kill softbodies, it is still needed for natural movements > of objects, cloth cannot maintain its shape well enough nor does it > maintain impact shapes and the the amount of options in SB is simply > amazing, I'd say change to docs to reflect that SB is NOT for cloth > including the screenshots, use the cloth sim for that, please im begging > you don't kill SB it is a critical part of effects and character > building and a critical part of blender itself > > > On Wed, 2010-03-03 at 01:09 +0100, bjornmose wrote: > > Hi all, > > I've been watching 2.5 evolving and I feel the (one size fits all .. > > experimental physics code) soft body module has been replaced by the far > > better cloth module at the hot spots.
