I also don't see the harm in having multiple ways to skin a cat.   Different 
people have different workflows, and though the results may be similar, some 
may be very familiar with the soft body system but not with the cloth system.   
 I do understand trying to cut down on bloat, but I do know that when software 
evolves and totally slaughters my workflow it does not leave me a happy camper.
