Indeed, the majority of changes is more useful to coders, not so much
directly for artists. The "advanced" node types are more of a
demonstration of what is possible with the internal changes. Frame
nodes need some more work until they are a fully functional tool for
artists. They're currently not visible since their "Layout" category
is not used, adding this to the Add menus will let you create them.
