In my opinion, rotation is not such a bad thing because you can clearly
correlate the two directions with the way a value is increased/decreased.
Also, rotation is not compulsory, we could use distance based evaluation
for some properties, same as we do with current radial operator. Rotation
only happens after you have selected the property (whose name and value is
clearly displayed at the center of the widget) and it is reset after
tweaking, so you know where each property resides. Snapping and precision
using the usual ctrl/shift keys is very easy.
