Tom, IRIE Shinsuke is not saying that we are not allowed to use, embed, or rename fonts, assuming they have a suitable license.
What is being stated is that this *particular* font includes restrictions in its license that make it incompatible with the GPL so it shouldn't be embedded inside a GPL program.
