+1 from me. this is something that i have wanted to have for quite a long time now. its also something that would be really useful when dealing with fbx files and udk, so we can have synced tangents between blender/xnormal and udk. maybe even unity but not sure about if it can import the tangents or just generate them. anyway would be great if it was finally added to the python api.
