Hi all,

Here are the notes from today's meeting in irc.freenode.net #blendercoders

1) Upcoming release

The planning and projects we target on:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Doc/Projects

- Some chances: Custom Vertex normals goes to next release... Bastien Montagne
needs too much time for fbx work.

- Tamito Kajiyama moves "Freestyle: Memory consumption improvements" to 2.73 or
later and makes "Freestyle for Cycles" a 2.72 target.

- Dalai Felinto is back on Multiview work, is a 2.73 target though.

- For 2.72 Dalai would do anti-aliasing for baking in Cycles.

- Dalai: it would be nice to get normal maps from the highpoly objects to work
in baking too. But for that he may need help from Brecht and Sergey. Not sure
if it fits in the 2.72 target

2) GSoC

- Some students shortly reported about their work. Seems like the fluid student
got stuck with trying to get the build environment work (different library
versions, linkage, etc).

- Meeting confirms that all student projects are important, students should
connect as much as possible to the maillists and especially IRC for help.

3) Other projects

- svn.blender.org (used for i8n and precompiled libs) will move to a new
server, will get read-only for a few hours this week. Also Phabricator will get
updated. Sergey Sharybin will notify this list when it happens.

- Blender Foundation has presentations (small booth, next to Krita!) on
Siggraph in Vancouver. Opensubdiv will be demonstrated there too, but it's the
work on a branch, which goes to 2.73.

Thanks,

-Ton-
