From the rather rudimentary look I gave at the other screencast keys addon a while ago, it appeared to suffer from all the same major issues as the main screencast keys..
I do kind of like having blender specific info like last operator etc. displayed, but I'd prefer to have modal keypresses and display in non-3D views. I've yet to find any external keypress displaying program (for linux) I'm happy with.. So unless anyone has any suggestions it seems I'm stuck with screencast keys for the time being :P On 05/31/15 13:14, Gaia wrote: > Here is a link which lists some reasons why the tool has been removed: > > http://www.blendernation.com/2014/07/02/screencast-keys-addon-is-removed-b3d/ > > You still can find the "original" tool here: > > https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-extensions/trunk/py/scripts/addons/space_view3d_screencast_keys.py > > And here is an alternative development: > > https://github.com/jedihe/b3d_screencast_keys/blob/master/space_view3d_screencast_keys.py > > I am not sure if the alternative works better or not. > Both scripts seem to work on current Blender versions > with the known limitations.
