I merely browse the reddit link, because it seems they cover a very broad topic considering the original question is quite big in scope.
Anyway, to focus on UI issue - I wonder if it a workflow thing more than UI itself. I received my Diploma on MAX 4.0, and unable to afford it (and never work in the industry either) I just use whatever free app provided on 3D World cover disk. (Carrara was my favourite back then). Then Modo 401 and now on Modo Indie subs. I also uses Daz3D as human character generator (kind of). I understand how some people feel. I use Iclone from 3.0 to 4.0 (and monitoring it since 1.0) and I don't understand why they don't adapt 4 window like normal 3d app (top, left/right, front, perspective). Looking at IClone 6.0 screenshot, seems like still unavailable. I guess that what happened when you used to such workflow. But in the end, some app have their own workflow and the GUI to support it. And of course, Blender being open, people can contribute. Although that -save-before-exit-bru-ha-ha still in the back of my mind :-P On Fri, Apr 22, 2016 at 6:00 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > Send Bf-committers mailing list submissions to > [email protected] > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > https://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > [email protected] > > You can reach the person managing the list at > [email protected] > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Bf-committers digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
