Hey all, There have been some improvements in the Blender ID add-on since 2.79 has been released. It makes it more future-compatible with possible server-side changes, fixes a bug, and most importantly, reduces confusion and makes users happy. I think the changes are safe to run in 2.79.

This actively checks the token with the server, whereas the "You are logged in" only bases that statement on locally-available information (there is a token and it hasn't expired yet).
