Dear platform maintainers, I've just bumped Alembic from 1.7.8 to 1.7.12. This is not a needs-to-be-updated-right-now update, but it does add some functionality people have been waiting for a long time :-)
Some context: Alembic 1.7.12 introduces a 'DCC FPS' hint, allowing Blender to write the scene frame rate to the Alembic file. This will make it possible for importers and converters to properly deal with situations where 'frame number' is the only reference to time. It should prevent issues like described in T55288, where Blender wrote correct data to Alembic, but the importing software made bad assumptions because it hard-coded 24 FPS. Currently only the Alembic library is upgraded from 1.7.8 to 1.7.12. Writing this new DCC FPS hint will be done in a separate commit once the platform libraries have been updated. Cheers, -- dr.
