Not that I know of, but what I would recommend is to be lenient the first couple of rounds, i.e. if they botch order placing let them rearrange it, also let them choose their races first ect. if another player knows how to play in the group, do a quick mock battle on a 3 planet system forgoing showing a rule more than once. But that tactic only works if you already know the rules. If you don't know the rules a good way to learn them is play a 1v1 game by yourself.
