My sister in law got the card game GUILLOTINE for christmas and we ran
into a rule question while playing. There is a noble called the
"Master Spy" and the fine print on the card indicates that the Master
Spy slips to the back of the line after any action card is played
(he's a crafty dude!). The debate was if he was say at the back of
the line and you played a card like "The long walk" (which reverses
the order of the line) do you get to collect the master spy? My
thought is that you play the card (long walk), you resolve the card
(reverse the order of the queue), then the master spy goes to the back
end of the queue, then you collect your noble (and thus the master spy
escapes) but she felt that you play the card (long walk), master spy
goes to the back of the queue, you resolve the card (reverse the order
of the queue), then collect your noble (and thus the master spy is
executed).

Basically, the argument is whether the print saying "Master spy goes
to the back of the line after any action card is played" means that
the second the card is put on the table he moves, or if the card is
put on the table and resolved and then he moves. I favor my way
because it makes it harder to get the spy (which I think is what was
intended) but the only way to get him is if he is the very last noble
of the day. She favors her way because you can be cunning and get him
before the end of the day.

Anyone play this game or have an opinion?
