Sheesh. Here in hurricane alley everybody and their brother has a generator for just such occasions. Nothing says fun like a week and a half without electricity in the Florida summer! Mine (Goofus) probably needs to be gassed up since hurricane season is upon us. My neighbor (Gallant) has a fancy propane powered generator with an automatic switchover feature that kicks it on as soon as the power drops. And it accommodates two propane bottles (like the ones on your grill) so you can switch them out when one goes empty. I think I have generator envy.
