Well, this is a huge surprise to me, since they were clearancing out
the first version for $20 because there was (supposedly) no market for
a haunting game that cost $40 (I'm pretty sure it was $39.99, since
Toys R Us clearanced it at 50% off, and I got it for $19.98).
Of course, people who missed the clearanced sales immediately started
paying $50 and $60+ for it when it went out of stock, so who knows
about the market for this kind of game...?

And as far as I know, I wrote the only collected thread for listing
the original scenarios' balance problems. (The thread on the Avalon
Hill boards never really detailed much). Of course, the BGG thread
only had maybe 5 contributors to it over 2 or 3 years, so with this
game lots of people like to complain about the balance problems, but
not many like to playtest and suggest fixes for them. :(

Antistone wrote the only balanced custom scenarios that I know of for
Betrayal (he should really be brought into the development for the
reprint (if it's real) - he has a deeper understanding of balancing
the game mechanics than anyone, (probably) including the designer(s).

Thanks for posting this thread - I hadn't heard this huge (for me)
reprint information.
