I just remembered. We're using the 2210 pieces but only playing with the traditional rules. I keep calling things by what they are on the original board which I'm sure confuses my students. "Only a fool can't see that that territory is called ... wait! What are they calling that now?"
I think keeping it the same order while fair in some ways does give the first players a bit of an advantage.
