I would agree with this, and it's more than just convenience. I did several all-nighter upgrades at Google, we had no choice because we couldn't take the site down and we could only do upgrades when we had excess capacity, but it's very stressful and risky. It's a lot better to do complicated upgrades and configuration changes during normal hours when people are rested and alert.
