This isn't an attempt to pile on, but I'm genuinely curious. Isn't the
point of a failover server to be already up and running, so that the
traffic "fails over" to that system automatically? Is this more of a
back-up piece of hardware kept in reserve that you can configure to
take the place of whatever piece just blew up, without having to wait
for delivery?
