I would love to play something like this. On Jun 13, 2010 1:33 PM, "Awakening" <[email protected]> wrote:

This means that situations can be calculated more accurately and any modifiers applied have a more direct effect. In Memoir 44 I tried to take out my opponent's artillery by storming it with loads of infantry but had no luck at all, my opponent however (after switching sides) rolled 2 handgrenades on his 2nd attempt. In Conflict of Heroes modifiers have a very limited effect and I've rolled continuously bad while my opponent rolled continuously well leaving me not even the slightest chance of victory. Yes, I'm terrible with dice. 2. The game tracks opportunity for both sides. In a way this is similar to Command Action Points found in games like Conflict of Heroes. However, they way you gain opportunity and what you can do with it differs. This represent opportunities created on the battlefield and is your battle intelligence, communications, supply lines and support units. With very simple mechanics the actions of one of your units might make your snipers get a better shot, distract your enemies so your medics can take care of your wounded or allow your units to apply more advanced tactics. However, the game will be as simplified and streamlined as possible to allow for a fast and action packed experience. The focus will be on the various units in the game and how to best utilize their strengths and abilities against your opponents weaknesses. The two forces (humans and aliens) will not play the same or even have similar units. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BGG Down" group.
