The same way any game can be fun if the person digs it. I don't like wargames, and don't understand why other people do, but wargamers LOVE the things. I especially don't understand why Fluxx is so popular, but I stopped wondering why people dug stuff I didn't and just accepted that people have different tastes.
As for Mao specifically, it a light game that's got a neat gimmick, and it's probably not your bag (I'm going to guess you don't like Uno, either). However, in the version I used to play, people had to make rules up on the fly, and it was always entertaining to see what ridiculous things people came up with. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BGG Down" group.
