War of the Ring is a great game, but whether you will love it or not really depends on your tastes.
Each game tells a different "what if" scenario--What if the Witch King led an army out of Moria and sacked Rivendell?--which is enjoyable and leads to some epic, memorable games. I think it's quite replayable. What actions you can take hinges on what each player rolls on their action dice, which means every game is different. E.g., in one game the Shadow player might roll lots of muster dice, and build up a huge army to sack Minas Tirith (it happens). In the next he might roll an abundance of army dice, allowing him to threaten Rohan or the northern regions with mobile strikes. So yes, I think it has high replay value. Returning to my first line, however, some people just don't like conquest games. I'd definitely try to play it once to find out whether you like it.
