Did you know: if you need to see a page from BGG, you may still be able to access it while the site is down. Use Google's cache feature thusly:
Search Google for a board game (e.g., Battlestar Galactica) Click on the arrow to the right of the BGG page and a preview will appear. Above the preview is a link called 'cached.' Click this and you'll see an old version of the page. Even more obscure threads will work (e.g., a search for "Defenders of the Realm darkness spreads cards" brings up the DotR forum) Today I was registering to run some games at a local con, and I was able to pull the descriptions from BGG using this method.
