I think they make a lot more than you think at first glance. I've heard some pretty outrageous numbers for the amount they charge for banner ads, but I have heard that there is a way around it using a Google ads program instead of getting the banner space directly from BGG. But the number I heard was crazy, not entirely sure if it’s true though the guy who owns the store I was talking to about it likes to talk out his ass a lot.
