Sites do fail, but maybe not this often or for this long. Oracle and sql-server do ok, as do "most real" databases. There are lots of defensive tricks to cya with databases and application software.
At Intel, Tivo and HP we were up all-de-time, oops, no we weren't. We had morons, I mean managers, who seemed to be wishing they worked for BP. The human negligence gets ya. Twitter had its cowboy phase too. Maybe the folks at BBG just wanna have fun, and ok, the site goes down. It is a drag but it is also Sunday night. Maybe they r tired. But a site can be kept running with the right software for the load. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BGG Down" group.
