Either way, this is why I subscribe to the /r/boardgames on reddit. Feeds the addiction even if only a little.
Furthermore, BGG has such a variety of users from all parts of the world, the only way to truly keep the maintenance as fair as possible is to have a rotated schedule every 6 and half days or something like that. Keep in mind though, that all of the maintenance admins are based in the US so they have to work on it when it works for them. If that means scheduling updates and then hitting the pillow, then so be it. That's just fact. If this site were hosted and operated in Europe, then I'd expect the downtime maintenance to be inconvenient for Americans.
