Hay Friends, Separate queues for women are anyway implemented at most of the places like banks and railway stations. Internet has revolutionized most of these services and hopefully very soon, we may not have to discuss separate queue issue because these internet driven services will penetrate even rural areas.
Let us drop the idea of reservations. As you can see in Maharashtra, the majority Marathas are now asking for reservations and OBC's and all other reserved casts are opposing it. This is the end of compartmentalization in society. I wish I am proved wrong, but we may have to see large scale inter-cast stress in India if our governments do not abandon Reservations which were expected to be selective initially and now have become an all encompassing destructive phenomenon. We can't make progress with reservations. Merit has to be the sole governing criteria no matter what. Firstly I accept that we need to improve social culture. The country USA has highest rate of Rape in world till 2002.After 2002 it dident declined. It is still there but USA has now different norm in collecting that data. ( Please see attachment ) In Pakistan rape cases are lowest. All above I wrote is that if a "religion-culture" is present there. . .then condition of women will be like in Pakistan. . .where they almost cannot come out of their room called " Janana". . . IF all most full freedom of liberty and open religion is provided. . condition is like USA. . .women not able to cope the rage of society. Now lets praise India. . ."Best balance in Culture-Religion- and Liberty of Women". . .Not because of government of India. . .but by the parents of India. Still if a girl end up in some social mis-shape its her choice. (I am talking about capable families and girls) Now separate queue for senior citizen and Physically handicap is agreeable. Why do women want separate queue in India is still unclear to me. My point is if same Indian women are dropped in USA they will find it safe in against that India is safer for women as compared to USA.I think Indian women should think the cases again. . . Women themself has to realize what is safe. Man see woman as a material of sex.I think doctors in group can justify this that :" its innate nature of ours."Its the first phase of attraction. And dont tell me that guy in USA dosent stare u in that way!! Wrong thing is " why do u feel guilt and get so bothered about few people staring at u.Wrong is in u. " By wat medical or any issue mean u get to be thinking that. This confidence of standing in 1 queue can bring the confidence in lot of other fields.Accepting reservation and demanding more of it is going to make you more weaker. Public transport of Indore is having few " women buses " in city. Most of the Taxi-cabs are also same rated. They have 15% lower cost also.Being Indore citizen I dont see need of that. . .neither my mom neither my neighbor . . .nor my society ever demanded that. . .who did this and why ????. . were women are really demanding something. . .what they are getting! ? If not . . . who is going to bring real voice on boards. .. are really women doing some thing to bring real voice. Anyways Mayank, your point of view needs little correction, you pose a question why women demant for seperate queue etc., from the above it should be very clear that they do not feel confidence in the man's society, they have a fear that they might have to face hard time. As such all are my views and expression. Warm regards Sanjay Sarda --- On Mon, 2/16/09, Govind... Hoping for better <hopegov...@gmail. com> wrote: From: Govind...
