The person will be a key part of the Application Development team, working on
the latest Big Data technologies within the Hadoop ecosystem. Delivery focus
will be leveraging existing components such as hdfs, Hive, HBase, Pig, Flume,
Spark and others that are in an incubation stage to build applications that
solve business problems and building extensions to the platform to enhance the
capability of the platform.
Your Skills and Qualifications will include
o Basic Qualifications
o Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
o 5+ years strong Java with particular emphasis on server side java
o Strong development track record using Agile development methodologies.
o Excellent verbal and written Communication skills
o Strong Experience in big data technology experience and background (hdfs,
Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Storm)
o Experience in developing and implementing large scale big data environments
and workflows
o Preferred Qualifications
o Master Degree in Computer Science or related field
o 2+ years of experience working in the capital markets
o Experience with any kind of ETL type products
o Experience working with global teams
o Strong grasp of concepts behind capital markets product pricing and
calculation of risk a big plus
o Successful track record of delivery and execution with changing
requirements and challenging timelines
