Oracle Developer with financial/Banking background a must Must be local to NY/NJ as onsite interview is a must. Oracle Database Developer role in NYC This is an Oracle PL/SQL development position, we are not looking for Oracle application/Oracle EBS folks Must have strong UNIX Shell scripting, any experience with job scheduling software like Control M will be a huge plus also any experience with Business Objects will be a plus. Contract will be for 12 months with possibility of extension Rate: Give me your best daily rate. Financial Reporting experience is a must - This is a technical role but people must have worked on Financial reporting applications like IFRS-9, US GAP, Must have worked on applications that deal with accounting systems like Balance sheets, Income statements, General Ledger. Must have done data mappings to generate financial and accounting reports Must have Banking preferably Investment banking clients on the resume Ideal candidate must have strong PL/SQL system development experience on the Oracle 11/R12 database platform. This must include experience developing applications for Financial Reporting. Candidate will work on the IT development team for the EIFFEL - BMF project. The project objective is to develop a dedicated Global Finance and Risk platform used for consolidation and regulatory reporting. Main Responsibilities: - Deliver technical design solutions that address business requirements within agreed deadlines. - Liaise with the business analyst and development team to clarify functional specifications. - Design, develop and implement PL/SQL solutions. - Document system processes and coding. - Ensure unit testing is conducted according to functional specifications and user requirements. - Build Unix shell scripts and design batch processes. Required Skills: - Must have strong system development experience with Oracle PL/SQL. - Must have experience developing Financial Reporting applications with PL/SQL. - Must have strong analytical and technical skills including Unix Shell scripting. - Must be detailed-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter. - Strong communication skills and able to work effectively in a team environment. Experience: - 5+ years' experience developing Oracle PL/SQL applications for Financial Reporting. - 5+ years' experience designing PL/SQL solutions. - Experience working in a data warehouse environment. - 5+ years of Experience working on UNIX/Solaris and Shell Scripts - Financial industry experience is required (preferably Banking).
