Invitation for Book Participation: Authors Needed for “Equity and Access”
Dear Colleagues,
We are looking for potential authors to help explore a wide range of issues
and problems of unequal access to information. In particular, we are seeking
advice, case studies, and examples from around the world to help illustrate
the wide range of possibilities for equitable access and library service
delivery. We are open to ideas for topics to be included and “Equity and
Access” is being broadly defined as serving people of all ages, economic
status, geographic location, physical ability, gender, or ethnicity and
providing a wide range of information and access. We are also interested in
contributions from a variety of library settings.
We hope that you will consider contributing!
Here is some additional information: articles may be published as part of a
book discussing, debating, addressing, or resolving “information
inequalities” and examples of various initiatives and their commitment to
equity and access will be highlighted. The intended audience is a wide range
of information professionals and students interested in ensuring equitable
access to information for all citizens.

Deadline for the paper: July 15, 2007.
