DIGITAL REPOSITORY INFOKIT http://www.jiscinfonet.ac.uk/infokits/repositories/index_html Introduction
Background, questions and feedback This infoKit has been built using the documentation, guidance and expertise built up during the Repositories Support Project (RSP). More information about repository events and further support can be found on the RSP website<http://www.rsp.ac.uk/> . If you are looking for guidance on particular aspects of repositories and don't find it here, please contact the RSP team. The team also welcomes comments and feedback about this resource. Email: [email protected] The Digital Repositories infoKit is a practical 'how to' guide to setting up and running digital repositories. The kit contains information on a broad range of topics running from the initial idea of a digital repository and the planning process, via detailed sections on repository set up and promotion, through to the maintenance and ongoing management of the repository. The main focus is on institutional repositories and the kit reflects current repository community best practice. This resource has been written for repository administrators. It assumes no prior knowledge of repository matters and, more importantly, assumes no prior technical knowledge. The kit can be used by anyone who needs an introduction to any of the topics covered. Aims and Objectives The aims and objectives of the infoKit are: - To provide a one stop shop source of practical guidance on repository establishment, set up and maintenance - To cover in detail the entire installation, set up and maintenance processes involved with institutional repositories - To synthesise the practical outputs of the RSP project - To offer information to the community about repository best practice As the UK FE/HE sectors learn more about effective use of repositories, and good practice further emerges and changes, this infoKit will be updated. Projects in this area funded by JISC are listed on the JISC website<http://www.jisc.ac.uk/whatwedo/topics/digitalrepositories.aspx> . -- FONTE: http://www.jiscinfonet.ac.uk/infokits/repositories/index_html Powered by Open-Xchange.com _______________________________________________ Arquivos da Bib_virtual: http://listas.ibict.br/pipermail/bib_virtual/ Instruções para desiscrever-se por conta própria: http://listas.ibict.br/cgi-bin/mailman/options/bib_virtual Bib_virtual mailing list [email protected] http://listas.ibict.br/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/bib_virtual
