Please tell us what you were doing at the time this error occurred.

I was closing a bib file in preparation for opening another. I was
in the process of exploring a problem that has arisen since
installing this new version of BibDesk. I have a bib file
constructed by a previous version, but when I open it in the new
version, nothing shows up in the Date and several other columns
(Type). I was trying to see if by saving the file from the new
version, and reopening it, the missing information would be
displayed. (I have since discovered that I can delete the Date
column and add back the Year column.)
