See if you still have a pinstripe background; I don't see it after changing the 
fileview to fill the scrollview in the nib.

Having the fileview draw the background works best, or else the scrollview 
doesn't invalidate the view under its scrollers and it looks weird when they 
flicker in and out (I see white flashes).  The flickering seems to be caused by 
showing/hiding the vertical scroller when the scrollview unhides the horizontal 
scroller as you move the splitter to the right.
