That's odd, since we're pretty careful about memory leaks.  I'm aware  
of an Apple leak in searching, but it wouldn't amount to that much.

If you could send me a copy of that file off-list, and a screenshot of  
your main window, that would help.  I'll fire up OmniObjectMeter to  
see if we have anything obvious.
