I didn't set a custom build location because, from the wiki, I suspected that this was only to avoid paths with spaces in their names and my bibdesk checkout did not have any space in its name. I figured it was not necessary then. I'll be happy to test everything I can but I am afraid that, apart from that and dumb search/replace, I won't be able to do more. I can't code in Obj-C and I won't have time to learn before a while (finishing my PhD in four months...). I am willing to privately share my lab code to a small set of (trusted ;) ) people to test access this way (if they can have a non authenticated access). I can even provide VPN access to my lab in France which should bring you in a situation similar to mine (but this can add some complexity too)... I am sorry that I can't do more.
