Ingrid --you can select the BibTex on a jstor view citations page and drag it to BibDesk - BibDesk will add all the citations. The bottleneck for me isn't BibDesk, it's the three step process to get jstor to show the BibTex (steps 2-4 in your original e-mail). I've sent them comments asking for the option to the view BibTex direct from search results as part of the upcoming jstor redesign -- maybe you could do the same :).
If you're writing in anthro. (from your sample data below...) you may be interested in the rtf template I set up to display / export references according to the AAA style guide - here: http:// dfay.fastmail.fm/bibdesk/

In this case I was just wondering whether BibDesk could grab raw BibTex from a page when it is presented outright. This could apply to a number of sites, where you can click on a link and get to BibTex text.Specific JSTOR functionality would be great, of course. Will look forward tofuture developments. Currently it doesn't support JSTOR, but from the looks of things it would be possible to add it. Look for it in future versions, development time permitting. In BibDesk, I ... 1) did a JSTOR search 2) "saved" some citations (JSTOR feature) 3) "viewed citations" 4) chose "View and Save Citations>>BibTex" 5) link didn't loadThinking that this was only a problem with loading that last link (perhaps javascript or something), I went directly to JSTOR in my browser and did the same thing. I got through to the BibTex view, and then copied that URL into BibDesk to view those BibTex citations. I got to the page this way, but BibDesk apparently couldn't recognize the format. Should it be able to?
