Please test the latest nightly build <http://bibdesk.demokratia.org/beta/BibDesk-20071126.dmg >, paying attention to the Quick Look plugin on Leopard. I rewrote it yesterday, and need to make sure that there aren't any regressions.

You'll need to first zip or trash (and empty) any existing copy of BibDesk with a QL plugin, since QL doesn't handle multiple programs with the same plugin. Next, copy the new version to your drive from the disk image. Relaunch Finder (force-quit it) to refresh thumbnails in icon view or on the desktop. The main visual difference is in the icon for .bib/.ris/.isi files.

What would have been nice, would be an explanation what I should
expect to see.

It hasn't changed significantly from the last time we discussed this...

Right now it looks the same as when I had TextMate as
my standard-tool for editing bib-files (which I have because when I
click on a bib-file I usually want to work on the source directly
because there's some problem in Bibdesk).

Hopefully that doesn't occur very often.

What I see is "just" the source code of the file w/out any
code-coloring or so; is this the expected behaviour? If yes, then it
works fine ;)

Nope, you should see syntax coloring. The attached image shows what you should see in the Finder if your view options are set to show a preview. What happens if you do `qlmanage -r; qlmanage -p /path/to/ file.bib` in Terminal?

If qlmanage -r doesn't help, try `qlmanage -t /path/to/file.bib 2>&1 | grep BibDesk` and let me know what the output is. If you have a BibDesk plugin in ~/Library/QuickLook, you should remove it first (trash/empty or rm in Terminal).
