Hello and thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I am running bibdesk with texshop on a intel-based macbook pro running Leopard. I have version Version 1.3.14 (v1008) of bibdesk. Problem I am having is that whenever I directly use the short-hand for a journal, say /apj for the Astrophysical Journal, latex bombs. I get the following message at the console:

! Undefined control sequence.
l.24 \newblock {\em \apjs
                         \/}~{\em 154}, 1--9.

If I go into bibdesk and spell out the journal name, it works fine.

Thank you!

Rich

\apjsis a TeX command (because of the leading "\"), and apparently not defined. Do you know the difference between a tex command and a bibtex macro?
