I share your feeling that BibDesk is much less useful if you don't
use TeX.
I don't....I have no interest in TeX but use BibDesk on a daily
basis, as much as a project manager for writing projects, syllabi,
etc., as for generating citations in text....I tried Zotero briefly
but I found the loss of all my custom context menus (which even
Firefox 3.0 doesn't seem to support) outweighed whatever advantages
Zotero offered. All of which is to say that I hope the developers
continue to focus on the UI, scripting support, web import etc.,
features that are useful for all users -- recent upgrades to
Applescript support in the nightlies have been a great step forward.
