Hi all,
With Christiaan's help I managed to write an Applescript that takes a
selection of publications and searches, via the Spotlight mdfind program,
for files that may correspond to them in a directory where I have
accumulated for years PDF files with names not following any particular
rule. The script then asks me whether to link these files or not. Being
myself very unexperienced in Applescript, I thought that someone more
proficient might be interested in the script and perhaps show a way to
improve it. As it is, it runs quite slowly, but my main concern is not that,
but the fact that BibDesk is blocked until the end of the script execution.
My question is: may I send the script to this list or there is a better
option or a more appropriate forum?
