If you want to be flexible (i.e. use different styles) you can use  
bibtex macros for the journals. To enter a macro you should use Edit  
As Raw BibTeX. Then you should include @string entries, either in  
your .bst or .bib file. By changing the definitions of the @string's  
you can have different values for the macros. Many standard bibtex  
styles already include lists of macro definitions for some common  
journals. There is some intro about macros in the BibDesk Help.  
Otherwise look for some bibtex documentation.
