The only important thing is that the relative location of the database
and the PDFs is the same on both computers. Though after you
synchronize, it is probably better to open and save the database on
the other computer. This fixes the linked files so they will be linked
more reliable (BD remembers both the relative location and an alias;
the alias will be useless on the other computer so should be updated).

Sure, you can use any field using %f{Field}. Of course you need a Pmid
field.
