If the idea is to insert a formatted BibDesk reference as a footnote
in Pages, this has nothing to do with CiteInPages. Assuming that's
the case, you could set an export template like the templates that
come with BibDesk as the drag template under the Citation Behavior
preferences > Copying and Dragging, which would allow you to drag or
copy/paste a formatted reference from BibDesk into a Pages footnote,
or you could use Applescript to automate Pages' menus to create a
footnote at the insertion point and paste a template-formatted
BibDesk reference into the footnote (similar to what I think the
thread discusses).
