I am afraid, I do not use Web option in Bibdesk for searching references.
The biggest reason I do not use web for importing references is - I use
drag-and-drop to add entries and make Bibdesk auto-generate the cite key and
use the same key to auto-file the PDF for me. I have a pattern for it -
'year-authors'. This helps me identify the paper quickly and when the paper
was published even by looking at the file name. Further, when I am preparing
a document in Latex, I can just see the file and add references, because the
file name is also my cite key. When I import from web in Bibdesk, it uses
the cite key from the website (ex. on ACM it uses a number). That number is
not very helpful.

As a suggestion - if we had an option to enforce cite-key generation for all
entries even if imported from web, it will be cool and encourage more users
to use that option. If such an option exist, please let me know and also
ignore my comment.

Thanks,
Sumit
