In case anyone else might find those PubMed scripts useful: the link  
to get a PDF is dated, change the format string to
http://eutils.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/eutils/elink.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=prlinks&retmode=ref&id=
 
%f{Pmid}
This will then add a link to the primary LinkOut resource, if it exists.
