First of all, what do you mean by that? The linked files are just links to files, and those links are also imported. They will point to the same files in your dropbox server. Now if you want to copy those PDFs and replace the links with links to the copies, that's something BD will not do for you. If not just because you did not even have a well defined question (see above). Anyway, if, as I expect, you want to copy the linked PDFs to your local disk and want to replace the links in the imported items, I think the best is to use an AppleScript that goes through all relevant linked files, copies the files, and replaces the links.
