BibDesk > Preferences Go to the TeX Preview preference pane.
You will see a button for "Edit TeX Template." Push it.
A part of a LaTeX document will open in whatever text editor your system
automatically chooses, TextEdit, unless you've changed it.
insert
\usepackage{hyperref}
on the line before \begin{document}
Save the file and close it.
Try again.
I would just leave it that way if it works because you are going to have url's
in references later on.
Re Christiaan's comment in the email he just added to this thread, we are
assuming that you are using TeX to typeset your documents and BibTeX to store
your bibliographic data.
Of course, LaTeX did run when you tried it before to get the error, so maybe
it's just learning BibDesk.
