The bibliography format file isn't CIP-specific, so you should be able to use any BibDesk format file set up for Harvard as a replacement for the files supplied with CIP. There are a couple of links to Harvard templates on the Wiki (http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/bibdesk/index.php?title=Templates). CIP builds the in-text citations itself and the author-date style is based on APA. I'm not sure how different that is from Harvard, and some editing of the Applescript might be required to make the in text citations correct. The reason I did this rather than use a template for extracting a formatted in-text citation from BibDesk, if I remember correctly, is that I needed to be able to add a trailing letter to the citation if the same authors wrote multiple papers in the same year (which is something I did see). The BibDesk template couldn't do this since it had no way of knowing whether another similar citation existed and thus it could produce identical in text citations for different bibliography items. Also, at the time I wrote this, the templates had to be installed in BibDesk to work and I was already using a template to generate the working citations. That restriction no longer applies. If this turns out to be important, I have an idea now of how to address it but I'm not sure when I could get around to it.
