A quick comment on this: my prefs call for the sliders to be handled automatically when scrolling (system prefs), and when I scroll in the publications page (and in other apps) the sliders appear, and overlay the existing content. Only if I select "always" is explicit space for the slider allocated. Don't know how that would work for the thumbnails, but for the examples I have seen, the slider just appears over the content being scrolled. Justin -- Justin C.
